    What Are Company Bands?

Company Bands let you categorize companies in a way that fits your business. Out of the box they reflect strategic importance (Normal → Account → Key Account), but workspaces can repurpose them however they like. Some common approaches:

    1. Relationship tier (default): Normal for prospects, Account for customers, Key Account for top-tier relationships.
    2. Lifecycle stage: e.g. Trial, Onboarding, Active, Churned, when your pipeline tracks a customer journey.
    3. Product or service line: e.g. SaaS, Consulting, Enterprise, when offerings need different workflows.

You can rename, reorder, add, and remove bands freely. They control how companies appear in the Accounts list, what icon and color you see on the pipeline and in tables, and which band a company receives automatically when they win their first deal.

Bands drive automations and reports. Automations can trigger on band changes, and reports can filter by band to analyze segment performance.

    Default Bands

New workspaces start with three bands. These defaults reflect a strategic-importance model, but you can rename or replace them to match your own categorization. Configure them in Company Settings → Configure Fields → Company Band (click the cog icon).

    BandDefault useAccounts list
    NormalProspects and standard companiesNo
AccountCustomers with won deals; default for first wonYes
    Key AccountHighest-value relationshipsYes
If you rename these bands (e.g. "Normal" → "Trial", "Account" → "Active"), the underlying behavior stays the same — only the label changes. The system bands cannot be deleted, but custom bands can be added and removed at any time.

Band Assigned on First Won Deal

When a company wins their first deal, Lumenbase can automatically promote them to a specific band. By default that band is Account, but workspace admins can choose any band or disable this entirely.

    How to configure

In Company Settings → Configure Fields, find the Company Band row and click the cog icon. In the dialog that opens, the top section labeled Auto-assign on first won deal lets you pick which band to apply, or select None to turn it off.

This applies only to the first won deal per company. Subsequent won deals do not change the company's band.

    Accounts List

The Accounts page shows companies whose band is marked as qualifying for the Accounts list. In the Company Band configuration dialog, each band has an Accounts checkbox — when checked, companies with that band appear on the Accounts page.

These are two independent settings: (1) which band is auto-assigned on first won deal, and (2) which bands qualify for the Accounts page. For example, you could auto-assign "Account" on first won but also show "Key Account" and a custom "Enterprise" band on the Accounts page.

    Icons and Colors

Each band can have a custom icon (from the Tabler icon set) and color. This makes it easy to spot different categories at a glance in the pipeline, company list, and deal cards. In the Company Band dialog you can drag to reorder bands and click the icon or color swatch to change them.

    Where to Configure

Go to Company Settings → Configure Fields. In the list of standard fields, find Company Band and click the cog icon. In the dialog you can:

    1. Choose which band is auto-assigned when a company wins their first deal.
    2. Add, reorder, rename, and delete bands.
    3. Set each band's icon and color.
    4. Choose which bands qualify for the Accounts page (Accounts checkbox per band).

For a broader overview of accounts and health tracking, see the Accounts guide.
