1.What the extension does
The Lumenbase browser extension (Chrome or Brave) syncs LinkedIn messages, supports profile capture, and powers LinkedIn activity monitoring when combined with Codex settings. It runs only while you are signed in and LinkedIn is open in a tab you use.
2.Install and sign in
1
Install
From Settings → My Settings → Integrations → LinkedIn, follow the install link for Chrome/Brave. Pin the extension for easier access.
2
Sign in
Open the extension popup and sign in with the same Lumenbase account you use in the app.
3
Grant site access
Allow the extension on linkedin.com. If LinkedIn features are greyed out, check browser extension permissions for this site.
3.Verify it is working
- LinkedIn Monitor (Labs) shows “extension connected” instead of a warning banner.
- New LinkedIn messages can appear on contact timelines after sync.
- Codex Activity monitoring requires a Codex linked to lists — see the Codex guide.
4.Troubleshooting
4.1.Extension not detected
- Confirm the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions (not disabled or removed).
- Use Chrome or Brave — other browsers are not supported.
- Sign out and back in via the extension popup.
- Reload LinkedIn and the Lumenbase app tab.
4.2.Messages or activity not syncing
- Check LinkedIn integration is connected under My Settings → Integrations.
- For post activity, enable Activity monitoring on the relevant Codex.
- Ensure the contact is on a list linked to that Codex.
- Keep a LinkedIn tab open while monitoring runs.
4.3.Wrong workspace
Sign out in the extension and sign in again with the correct Lumenbase account.
